Off to the Roller Rink

Grand Finale from Off to the Roller Rink by Trudy Morse

All dancers come on stage, forming circle
Mae does the Grand March.

Little groups do short pieces of their dances
general sounds, whistles, excitement of the
grand finale of the circus procession. Dancers
co-mingle with family, still on skates, always
doing snatches of their particular dances.

People from the audience are encouraged to
come on stage and participate in the dancing.
Snatches from Gale, Trudy, or Mel
improvised. Twisting worked in.

The grand finale is improvised by the director,
dancers, and the audience!

We rebirthed in a fever
Hotter than a pepper sprout
We've been going dancing
Ever since they let us out

Dancing, dancing
Dancing night and day
Dancing, dancing
Love to dance
This life away

Dancing, dancing
Starting with
The Infant Hop
Dancing, dancing
Don't ever
Want to stop
