Since the death of Malcolm Morse, Trudy has been travelling with jazz pianist Cecil Taylor, in Europe, Japan, and the USA. While on the road, Trudy wrote poetry, which was later published by Hermes Press.

In 1989, Cecil Taylor was resident artist in Berlin. The Cecil Taylor Workshop Ensemble, Legba Crossing, was recorded in the big Box of 13 Cecil Taylor CD’s by FMP, 1989. The Big Box is now a collector’s item.

"The Maestro can be heard as narrator in the background, in which a strangely gilded, angelic voice full of energy, cuts in (vocalist, Trudy Morse)." Reported Berlin critic, Wolfgang Burde.

Trudy continued with Cecil Taylor workshop ensembles at New England Conservatory, New Orleans Louis Armstrong Summer Camp. More recently, a 43 piece ensemble performed at the San Francisco Jazz Festival. This performance was highly acclaimed and is the subject for a Master Thesis by Matthew Goodheart of Mills College.
